Amanda began catering parties at the age of five serving guests from a silver tray with her parents, proprietors of Robert’s Catering, in Long Island, New York. Amanda continued in the restaurant and catering business and while receiving her B.A., from Stetson University and her J.D., from the University of Miami School of Law. She has worked the front and back of the house in fine dining and casual chic restaurants throughout the state of Florida for over two decades.
As an event planner, Amanda worked with the University of Miami Department of Athletics Hurricane Club planning high end events and parties for hundreds of guests, including the University of Miami 2001 Welcome Reception in Pasadena preceeding the Rose Bowl; President and Athletic Directors welcome dinners; as well as coordinating other special events and receptions for the Hurricane Athletic Department. Amanda became passionate about exceeding guests expectations for all types of events and began planning weddings, receptions and corporate parties for business associates, friends and family. Finding fullfillment in the smiles and joy of overwhelmed guests, she launched Amanda Jean’s, a full service event coordination and catering business serving South Florida.
